Dear Friends and Colleagues,

The doctors say that Richard will be released tomorrow(Jan 10th). He
had all of the tubes removed today and he is now on pain pills. His
shoulder, ribs, and arm still hurt dreadfully, but he is on Vicadin now
for the pain. His spleen still has blood around it but if he continues
to heal rapidly the doctors are confident that he will not need to have
it removed. He will possibly be on medication to assist in its healing.
He started walking yesturday with a walker and was promoted to a cane
this afternoon. At this time we don't know when he will be back at
work, but we do know it will be gradual. We will be visiting the
physical therapist frequently in the next few weeks, and after
monitoring his progress will let us know when he will be ready to run
marathons again.

We might be home as soon as tomorrow afternoon or early evening. You
can reach us at (979)596-3121 or drop by—315 8th Street, Somerville TX
77879. From College Station, go west on University out of town.
University becomes highway 60. Continue on 60 for about 25 miles. 60
will end at a T-junction with Hwy 36. Turn left here(South), and go
about 4 miles to Somerville. Pass through the Yellow flashing lights
and then turn right at the Red Light (8th Street). Citizens Bank and
the Post office will be on the left after you turn onto 8th street. We
are the last house on the left side of the block(the corner of Ave E
and 8th Street). It is yellow with green and maroon trim.

Thanks again for all of your thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely,
Coleena Burt
