Let's say that again for good luck:  Next meeting: Tuesday, Feb 11, 2003 at
7:30 pm, Blue Baker. I'm for it.  Yeah!

I would like to talk about whether or not we want to arrange the official
certified cycling safety instructor training for this next spring or
fall.  This is a bigger committment of time and funds than the last course
we did -- I think it is the entire weekend plus a little bit, and I forget
what the cost is (around $150 or $200 per person if I am not mistaken).
I found the last course very valuable; if this next course was offered in
Houston, Austin or Dallas, I'd be happy to travel to go to it.  But
organizing it is going to be a bunch of work, so I want to make sure
some other folks feel that way before I commit myself to the project.

I will also have information on a League of American Bicyclists membership
for BVC and one for Texas Bicycle Coalition.  These organizations
both do some serious cycling advocacy.  I believe that if the club
becomes an LAB member, several club members can become LAB members for
reduced fees -- you might want to think about that before the meeting.
