Hey all,
Fall MTB racing is coming, so here is a listing of nearby races.
Races are grouped by experience (beginner, sport, expert), sex and age, so
even if you are 60 and have never raced, you'll have folks to compete
against. Beginner races are generally around 10 miles, sport under 20 miles,
and expert under 30 miles. The race courses are generally marked by Saturday
morning to allow you to pre-rider the course before the race on Sunday.
Many of these events will also have an expo area, where you can
check out the newest gear.
Huntsville Classic, October 2-3, Huntsville State Park
No event website
Pedal Power, Lake Bryan, October 9-10 (road race 10/9, MTB race 10/10)

Double Lake Recreation Area, Oct 23-24, Near Coldspring, TX ~75 mile drive

Online registration for these events is available at:

There races are part of the TMBRA Fall series; complete series info is
available here: http://www.tmbra.org
I am planning on making the Pedal Power and Double Lake races (I would
really like to do Huntsville, but will be in Albuquerque), and would welcome
any of you joining me (yes you, Lisa T and JM).
