You are not alone in your thoughts on the jersey design. This was my
response to Layne regarding where we are going with this project.

I can only say that I thought we were developing a logo with our
"brand," as Lenae accurately put it. I'm really big on keeping with
established branding, whether it a BVC logo or other business venture. I
am not for reinventing the wheel. 

The 3-D graphics may be cool, but I don't really see that they serve any
purpose for the jersey design.
