We are moving well up in the ranks of parade numbers over the years -
#16 - wow!

I will volunteer Laura Kennedy to help with sign holding since she will
be Wanda's stoker - and basically just sittin' on her butt peddlin'.

Getting into the parade line-up area has not been difficult in the past,
because we have the advantage of being on bicycles. In the past , we
met at Colin's to get ready. We could meet in the parking lot of my
office (Wehner, PA 98) for an alternate yet convenient location with
free parking.

Again this year, I will take responsibility for dog biscsuit patrol
along with parade rout.

BVC is participating in the 2005 Holiday Parade (Toys on Parade),
December 5, 2004 at 2PM. Our specific them is self propelled toys on
parade (no batteries required). Pertinent rules and parade line-up
logistical info is as follows:

1. No LIVE Santas allowed except the offical Santa (entry #96).
2. No throwing things into the crowd; You may HAND the crowd things.
3. We need a minimum 22" x 28" poster board with our club name on it; I
will provide it and put it on a stick for someone to hold/lead our
group. We need a few volunteers to switch off this job during the
parade.
4. Any music must be Christmas/Holiday or theme related 5. We are
supposed to be in place in the lineup area and ready to roll by 1PM.
The lineup area will probably be chaos, so be careful getting to our
spot!

We are entry number 16 (of 96 total). Our lineup area is PA50 West (on
the East side of Zachary). An overall map of the lineup area, with our
general location highlighted in red can be found at
http://www.crashtestdummyracing.com/bvc/lineupareamap.jpg

A more detailed map of our lineup area (highlighted in red) showing our
starting spot can be found at
http://www.crashtestdummyracing.com/bvc/lineupareaspot.jpg. Look for
marker
#16 on the ground in the parking area.

We will proceed North from the parking lot onto University Drive, East
to Texas, North on Texas, finishing at Sulphur Springs road. To
disband, we can turn off of Texas onto any side street or parking lot
North of Sulphur Springs road. With our early starting spot, we should
be in for a relatively quick afternoon. Come out and JOIN US! Call me
if you have specific questions.
