[Bvc-chat] Short bike touring trips?

Hello everyone, and Happy New Year!

I'm in Adventure Planning Mode these days, and want to plan out some
weekend bike touring expeditions that depart from College Station.  I've
ridden out towards New Waverly, and noticed that there's camping out
thattaways.  That would make for a good, but somewhat challenging, weekend
trip - about 60 miles there, camp, then 60 miles back.  So, I was
wondering: would anyone else be interested in going?  I've got pretty good
cold-weather gear, so I'd be down for a trip maybe the weekend of January
21-22, if that would work at all for other folks.  I also have a big,
2-burner Coleman stove for cooking purposes, and I'm not afraid to haul
it...Oh, and I've also got a spare Coleman sleeping mattress that I'm
looking to give away to someone who can put it to good use.

What do you folks say?  Feel free to forward this message to others, if you
know of others who might be interested.
